DELIVERY INFORMATION

Delivery options

During the purchase process, Lionel Smit Studio will determine your delivery options based on your delivery address and postal code. 

Delivery times

For South African orders, we will deliver within 5-7 working days, depending on where you live. 

For Rest of world, we will deliver within 5-7 working days, depending on where you live. 

Late delivery 

The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act") entitles you to cancel your purchase with 7 days’ notice if the products you have purchased are not delivered within the agreed delivery period as specified in Lionel Smit Studio terms and conditions. The product(s) in question must be returned to Lionel Smit Studio in its original state, including all labels. Any such cancellation must be done by e-mail to shop@lionelsmit.co.za

Lionel Smit Studio will refund you within 30 days after the date of such notification. 

Stock shortages 

Should a product you have ordered be: 

1. Temporarily unavailable, Lionel Smit Studio will notify you thereof as well as the anticipated delay in delivery and, unless you agree to wait for such longer period for delivery, or accept delivery of another product instead. 

2. Permanently unavailable, Lionel Smit Studio will notify you and, unless you agree to accept another product instead, Lionel Smit Studio will issue a refund in respect of that product to you. 

If the delivery time frame for your item has ended and you’re still waiting for something from your order, please Contact Us and we’ll investigate for you.

Delivery costs

Our delivery costs are as follows:

SA – R150 per order 0-5kg volumetric weight. R250 per order 5-10kg volumetric weight. R500 per order 10kg+ volumetric weight. 

Rest of the world – R1500 per order 0-5kg volumetric weight. R2500 per order 5-10kg volumetric weight. R4000 per order 10kg+ volumetric weight. 

Wine

Our sale and collection of wine is only available for delivery in South Africa. 

Please note that our wines can only be purchased by those aged 18 years and over. Customers will be asked to provide proof of age upon delivery.

International shipping

We ship to over 150 countries worldwide. Please see our Duties, tax and service charges section below for more information on these deliveries.

Restrictions

We also can’t deliver to PO box addresses. These are restrictions imposed by our couriers.

Duties, tax and service charges

If your delivery address is not within South Africa, you may be subject to import duties, taxes and delivery service charges, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You will need to pay any additional charges for customs clearance.

If your order includes a mixture of items , you will receive separately packaged items but not separate customs clearance bills for each delivery. Don’t worry: the clearance charge is calculated per shipment, so you won’t pay more than you would for the same items in a single package.

Please note that your country’s customs office may also apply a small administration fee to each delivery.

Please be aware that customs policies vary widely from country to country and we advise you to contact your local customs office for further information. Please be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by custom authorities.
