The Children’s Hospital Trust is a nonprofit organisation that raises funds to support the advancement of child healthcare across the Western Cape and the Continent. Working in partnership with the Western Cape Department of Health and health facilities and UCT Department of Paediatrics and Child Health, the Trust has invested over R1 billion towards improving public health infrastructure, training specialist paediatric health workers, and enabling the establishment of child public health programmes, both within the RCCWMH and across Western Cape district health services.

As part of the Lionel Smit Studio giving back programme we sell a range of handpicked prints, donating 100% of proceeds towards various non-profit organisations we support.  These include the local Heartlands Baby Sanctuary and Patch Helderberg (both of whom are local non-profit organisations that help children in need), as well as the two NPOs listed below.

Heartlands Baby Sanctuary harbours children who have been abandoned, abused, neglected, orphaned, who are disabled and or sick. In the past ten years, they have cared for over 300 children.

PATCH specialises in the prevention and treatment of minors that have been sexually abused. The NPO operates in the Helderberg area of Cape Town, South Africa
